Service overview

A clear plan for a cleaner result.

Moving creates a narrow window in which the property must be empty, accessible and ready for cleaning before keys change hands. Zem builds the service around that timeline. An empty-property clean can reach cabinet interiors, appliance spaces, baseboards, closets and other areas that are difficult to address while a home is furnished. Move-out cleaning supports a respectful handover to the next occupant, landlord, buyer or property manager. Move-in cleaning gives the new occupant a known starting point before boxes and furniture arrive. The estimate identifies whether appliances and cupboards are empty, what the building requires, and which marks or damage are cleaning issues rather than repair items.

Professional move-in / move-out cleaning results

A service shaped around the property

A clean transition removes one more source of stress from moving day.

Possession times, elevator bookings, key exchanges and movers can leave little margin for delay. We confirm the cleaning window, building instructions and property condition before arrival so the work can proceed without avoidable interruptions.

  • Designed for vacant or substantially empty properties
  • Possession, elevator and key timing confirmed in advance
  • Cabinet and appliance interiors available as quoted
  • Cleaning limitations distinguished from damage or repair
  • Realtor, landlord or property-manager priorities can be documented

Detailed service checklist

What your move-in / move-out cleaning plan can include.

The final checklist is customized to the property, condition, access and priorities discussed during the estimate.

Discuss your cleaning plan
01

Move-out cleaning

Detailed cleaning after belongings are removed and before keys, inspection or possession are completed.

02

Move-in cleaning

A fresh starting point before furniture, boxes and household goods are brought into the property.

03

Realtor or property turnover

Cleaning coordinated with listing, showing, tenant turnover or property-management requirements.

Before service begins

Vacancy and access are the biggest factors in a successful moving clean.

The property should be empty enough that all included surfaces can be reached. Movers, trades and cleaners working simultaneously can create delays and cause already cleaned areas to be soiled again.

  • Remove furniture, boxes, food, toiletries and personal belongings from included areas
  • Empty cupboards, drawers, closets and appliances requested for interior cleaning
  • Remove garbage and unwanted items that are not ordinary household waste
  • Confirm key handoff, parking, elevator booking and building move rules
  • Ensure water, power, lighting and safe indoor temperature remain available
  • Report damage, pest activity, mould, bodily fluids or other unsafe conditions before service

How it works

A professional process.
No guesswork.

01

Share the moving details

Tell us the property size, condition, vacancy date, possession time and building rules.

02

Confirm the empty-home scope

We identify interiors, appliances, windows, baseboards, floors and priority areas.

03

Coordinate access

Keys, parking, elevator windows, utilities and the site contact are confirmed.

04

Complete the handover clean

Work follows a room sequence that protects completed areas and the final exit path.

The Zem standard

Professional care is more than the finished surface.

Planning, access, communication and responsible cleaning methods are part of delivering dependable service.

01

Deadline awareness

Possession and inspection timing are treated as core planning requirements.

02

Detailed empty-space access

Vacant rooms allow more complete attention to closets, edges and interiors.

03

Clear limitations

Cleaning, damage, staining, restoration and disposal are distinguished in advance.

04

Straightforward communication

Building or schedule conflicts are raised promptly so alternatives can be approved.

Scope clarity

What is not automatically included.

The estimate confirms exactly what is included. These items require separate assessment, approval or an appropriately qualified specialty provider.

  • Removal of furniture, boxes, abandoned property or large amounts of garbage
  • Carpet stain guarantees, wall repainting, patching or damage repair
  • Pest waste, biohazards, mould, sewage or unsafe contamination
  • Exterior windows or elevated access unless separately quoted
  • Hauling, junk removal, donation delivery or disposal fees
  • Tasks that cannot be reached because movers, belongings or trades remain in the area

Frequently asked

Practical answers before you book.

Every estimate is property-specific. These answers explain the planning details customers commonly ask about.

Ask for an estimate
Does the property need to be completely empty?+

An empty property produces the best result. Small remaining items may be manageable, but cleaners should not be expected to move furniture, packed boxes or large amounts of personal property.

Are cupboards and drawers included?+

They can be included when requested, empty and accessible. Because interiors add substantial time, they should be identified during the estimate rather than assumed.

Do you clean inside the oven and refrigerator?+

Interior appliance cleaning is available when specifically included. Appliances must be empty, safe to access and in a condition suitable for normal cleaning.

Can you guarantee return of a damage deposit?+

No cleaning company can control lease terms, pre-existing damage or a landlord’s inspection decision. Zem can provide a detailed cleaning scope, but cannot guarantee deposit outcomes.

Can cleaners work while movers are present?+

It is possible in limited cases, but it is less efficient and cleaned areas may be soiled again. Separate windows for movers and cleaners are strongly preferred.

How close to possession should I book?+

Book as early as possible and allow enough time between vacancy and possession for the full scope. Tight same-day windows depend on property size, condition and team availability.

Do you remove unwanted furniture or garbage?+

No. Ordinary waste generated during cleaning can be handled as agreed, but junk, abandoned belongings and bulk disposal require a separate removal service.

What should I photograph before requesting an estimate?+

Photos of the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, appliances, buildup, basement, windows and any unusual condition help Zem assess the likely scope before an on-site review.
